Description

A portrait head on an elongated neck, worked with a heavily broken surface that catches the light across every ridge. The features are pulled back into the mass rather than modelled out of it. Finished in a high-gloss black and mounted on a square black base.

Condition report

Assessed from photographs only. The gloss finish shows the underlying working of the plaster throughout, which appears intentional rather than damage. Gloss surfaces mark readily and should be handled with gloves.
